I have moved, and I feel a lot better in my new environment. I hope you like it, too!
Working with a boy is hard. Like with this blogdesign. He has all the technical skills necessary to make a website, where I sometimes manage to break this blog just writing an entry. I, one the other hand, have the taste. In the past few weeks, we have been tediously sitting next to each other, he pressing all the appropriate Photoshop buttons, I giving directions. To make it short: it didn’t work. I felt obliged to jump in myself, and yesterday, I did a whole lotta Photoshopping on the shop layout. I did it in my own way: pressing buttons - this is the second time I want to type ‘bottoms’ here-, moving layers, paint-bucketing the whole thing, just hoping that something good would come out of it. When Douglas came to admire, he liked the design, but when he tried to make it and make it work, he couldn’t possibly trace back how I had landed where I had landed. I said my female intuition guided me through the impossible labyrinth of Photoshop. He left.
And here it is, our new design! Thanks to a still wonderful though slightly unconventional cooperation between a boy and a girl.
